For me, style or being stylish has to be comfortable. I have never felt like I had to dress a certain way to appease others or look how they think I should because I am a woman. I think I look good (my wife does too) in a button up or a tie/bowtie.

Photographing people who, like me, live outside of the binary has reminded me that I am not alone in my journey. PDL is helping me create a beautiful community through documenting their clothes and I feel grateful for that opportunity

"Style has been an amazing tool during my gender transition. It’s transformed the way I look at bodies, fashion, and gender. When you stop looking at clothing from a gendered perspective, it opens up a whole new world of possibilities. Style gives you freedom to determine how you’d like to present yourself. There’s an outfit for anything you can imagine."

"I’d say my personal relationship with style focuses on what makes me feel confident, comfortable, and authentic. My identity is largely shaped by what I wear. I’ve always seen fashion as an outlet to express my feelings and creativity regardless of which clothing section they’re from. Clothes speak volumes and I’d much rather choose comfort & authenticity to wear every day then to be categorized and restricted by the binary."
